Details
Salomon's XT-6 with a GORE-TEX lining in Black and Asphalt, the waterproof version of the trail shoe that crossed from ultra-running into fashion without changing much. The XT-6 keeps the Quicklace pull-cord system, the Sensifit overlays that wrap the foot and the chevron-lugged outsole, and the GORE-TEX membrane sits inside the upper so rain and puddles stay out. Black over asphalt grey is the most understated colourway of the lot.
It wears firm and supportive, with a low, planted feel and real grip on wet pavements and trails, and it suits monsoon commutes, winter walking and anyone who wants the XT-6 look with weatherproofing. Listed in UK 11; the XT-6 fits snug and narrow, so wide feet should go half a size up.
