UK, US and EU sneaker sizes explained
Short answer: for men’s Nike and Jordan, the US size is one number higher than the UK size (UK 8 = US 9 = EU 42.5). Indian shoe sizes follow the UK system. New Balance and Adidas convert differently (their US size is only half a size above UK), so check the per-brand notes below before you order.
Most of the pairs we ship are labelled in US sizing on the box but sold in UK sizing in India. Here is how the three systems line up for men’s Nike and Jordan.
UK to US to EU size chart (men’s Nike and Jordan)
| UK | US (men) | EU |
|---|---|---|
| 6 | 7 | 40 |
| 7 | 8 | 41 |
| 8 | 9 | 42.5 |
| 9 | 10 | 44 |
| 10 | 11 | 45 |
| 11 | 12 | 46 |
Do they run true to size? Fit by model
- Dunk Low: true to size. Wide feet may prefer half a size up.
- Air Jordan 1: true to size, snug in the toe box on day one.
- New Balance 550: runs slightly large; many go half a size down. Note New Balance’s own chart puts US only half a size above UK, so compare the EU number, not the US one.
- Adidas Samba: runs large and narrow; go half a size down unless you have wide feet.
- Yeezy Slide: runs small; go a full size up.
