Nike's Romaleos 4 in Black and Metallic Gold, the fourth version of Nike's weightlifting shoe and the one most often seen on competition platforms. The Romaleos has a raised, rigid heel that lets the lifter sit deeper in a squat or clean, a wide, flat sole that does not compress under load, and two midfoot straps over the laces to lock the foot down. Black with gold detailing is the classic Romaleos colour.
It is a lifting shoe only, stiff and heavy, and it suits Olympic weightlifters, CrossFit athletes and anyone squatting heavy who wants a stable base. It is not for walking around the gym between sets. Listed in UK 5; the Romaleos 4 fits snug and narrow, so wide feet may prefer half a size up.
