The BW Army is Adidas's own reissue of the German army training shoe, the plain white gym trainer that became a fashion staple in its own right, and this Lux edition upgrades it with richer materials. The Black Gum colourway swaps the usual white for a black leather upper with a suede toe cap, all sat on a gum rubber sole.
It wears like a simple low-profile trainer with a thin sole and a roomy toe, so it suits daily wear with trousers or denim rather than any sport. The black and gum combination hides scuffs far better than the white original. Listed in UK 7.5; many find the BW Army runs a touch large, so consider going down half a size.
