Rhode in India: What to Buy First

What does Rhode actually make?
Rhode is Hailey Bieber’s skincare and makeup line, and it is deliberately small. The skincare side is Glazing Milk (a ceramide essence), Peptide Glazing Fluid (a dewy gel serum), Barrier Restore Cream (a daily moisturiser), Pineapple Refresh (a daily cleanser) and Glazing Mist. The makeup side is the Peptide Lip Tint, the Peptide Lip Shape liner, Pocket Blush, Pocket Bronze Bake and Highlight Milk. Most of it is meant to be applied with fingers and to look like skin rather than sit on top of it, which is why it suits a short routine in a hot climate.
Which Rhode products should you buy first?
1. Peptide Lip Tint
This is the tinted version of the Peptide Lip Treatment, so you get the same glossy balm texture with a wash of colour. It is the easiest entry point because it works alone, over liner, or pressed in as a stain. We stock five shades: Toast, Salty Tan, PBJ, Raspberry Jelly and Ribbon.
2. Glazing Milk
A milky ceramide essence that goes on after cleansing and before serum or moisturiser. It is light enough for humid weather and gives the dewy finish the brand is known for without feeling heavy. The large 124 ml bottle is the one we carry.
3. Pocket Blush
A cream blush in a slim compact, made to be tapped on with fingers. One compact lasts months because you need very little, and the four shades we hold cover peach, coral, pink and red.
Which shades suit Indian skin tones?
Indian skin spans a wide range, but most of it sits in the light-to-deep band with warm or olive undertones. Those undertones tend to swallow very pale pinks and make them look chalky, and they bring out browns, corals, berries and true reds. How do you layer Rhode products?
- Cleanse with Pineapple Refresh, or whatever cleanser you already use.
- Glazing Milk on damp skin, pressed in with the palms.
- Peptide Glazing Fluid if you want extra dew; skip it on very humid days.
- Barrier Restore Cream to seal everything in. Oily skin can keep it for night only.
- Pocket Blush on the high point of the cheek, tapped out with fingers while the skin is still slightly tacky.
- Highlight Milk on cheekbones and the bridge of the nose, blended before it sets.
- Peptide Lip Shape to outline, then Peptide Lip Tint over the top. Blot once if you want it to last longer.
- Glazing Mist to finish, or to refresh mid-afternoon.
